MAKÜ YAŞAM and Aging Studies Community Held the 2024/2025 Spring Semester Activity Meeting
Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Aging Studies Application and Research Center (MAKÜ YAŞAM) and Aging Studies Community organized the first activity meeting for the 2024/2025 Spring semester. The meeting, held at the MAKÜ Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Conference Hall, was attended by Community Advisor and MAKÜ YAŞAM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz SAY ŞAHİN, Community President Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Social Work Department student Ayla Şenyüz, and community board members, while the community advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz SAY ŞAHİN provided students with important information about the new semester's aging studies themes and activity plans.
At the beginning of the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz SAY ŞAHİN presented valuable information to students on aging studies and societal aging. Şahin emphasized the importance of creating societal awareness about aging and stated that students should show more interest in projects in this field. Community president Ayla Şenyüz provided information about the community's promotional activities, social media accounts, and future event plans during the meeting.
Among the events to be held in the new semester are seminars on aging, workshops, and social responsibility projects.
Board members also stated that they plan to make announcements through digital platforms and organize online events. Additionally, they conveyed that the community plans to organize various workshops and training programs to develop the digital skills of elderly individuals.
During the meeting, participants exchanged ideas about the MAKÜ YAŞAM activity calendar and projects. MAKÜ YAŞAM and the Aging Studies Community plan to create awareness about societal aging and implement projects aimed at improving the quality of life of elderly individuals throughout the 2024/2025 Spring semester.
